The Michiana Bicycle Association (MBA) is an organization of individuals who enjoy bicycling as a sport. The MBA endeavors to plan and promote bicycling for the benefit of all. Included in these activities are bicycle tours, centuries, social gatherings, a monthly newsletter, educational programs, safety programs, and community awareness projects. The MBA also has bike clinics, an annual swap meet, membership meetings and many other activities. In addition, the MBA maintains a special "hotline" (219)674-0088 to keep members informed of MBA activities.
The MBA sponsors one major ride each year. The Amishland and Lakes tour in August, is a two day ride departing from the campus of Howe Military, in Howe Indiana. The first day takes us along quiet Amish country roads, while the second day treats us to the beautiful lake country of northeastern Indiana and southern Michigan.
The MBA schedules cook-outs, camp-outs, pot-luck dinners and multi-day rides. A newsletter is published 9 times a year, containing local and regional ride schedules , information on special events, cycling and cycling news.
No matter your cycling ability, we think you would enjoy being a member of the MBA.
